After agreeing to pay off Fabiana’s captors, Max and Passos leave for the soccer stadiums where the drop-off is to happen. The scene shows off the game’s quick-cut, digital-video style presentation, which will be familiar to fans of the Bourne movies. We start off with a cutscene featuring Max, the Brancos, and Raul Passos discussing strategy at the family’s corporate headquarters. To wit, this is not an open-world game, but rather an attempt to create a more cinematic, technologically adept version of the series’ signature Bullet Time action. While this is the first Max Payne game internally developed by Rockstar, the company hews closely to the formula that Remedy created with the first two titles. Max is tasked with bringing her back, and the result is a whole lot of gunplay. Predictably, everything goes to hell when Comando Sombra, a paramilitary-style gang, kidnaps Branco’s wife, Fabiana. Through a former colleague, Raul Passos, Max makes his way to Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he begins working in the shadowy world of private security for the local scion Rodrigo Branco. The intervening years have not been kind to Max, who left the NYPD in disgrace and has fallen into alcoholism. If you’ve missed our previous coverage on the game, here’s a brief primer: Max Payne 3 is set several years after the events of Max Payne 2. Now, with the game’s May 15 release date drawing near, Rockstar stopped by the Game Informer offices to give us our first hands-on playable demo of the game. Don't bother going for head shots, the enemies will die with a single shot regardless of where you hit them.We’ve seen Rockstar’s Max Payne 3 at a few points in its development.Save your bullet time (activated by pressing ) for the final sequence as you will be shooting the enemies side on which makes them slightly harder to hit - you won’t have to allow for bullet delay when in bullet time.Aim just in front of each enemy to allow for bullet delay.If you miss a shot during the first 3 sections, you can simply restart checkpoint but if you miss during the last two sections, you’ll have to quit out and retry Checkpoint 13 as there is another checkpoint between those sections. In order to unlock the trophy you must kill all 14 enemies without missing a single shot. This entire sequence of the Chapter is divided into four sections of enemies when Passos relocates to another location. You will need to cover Passos with a sniper rifle as he makes his way through the seats of the stadium. From the main menu, select 'Story' > 'Chapter Select' > 'Chapter 3' > 'Checkpoint 13'. This trophy can only be obtained in Chapter 3: Checkpoint 13.
